In order to finance their coveted graduation trip, a group of underprivileged students in an elementary school at Lanyu began selling self-designed handbooks online last month, which feature their own works of photography and drawing about the beauty of their homeland. The product turned out to be an instant hit on the Internet, with the entire 600 copies sold out in just a couple of days.

The children are going to publish a book together to realize their dream of travelling 600 kilometers from Lanyu to Changhua.

11 graduates-to-be in the Ye-you elementary school want to visit their homeroom teacher's hometown in Changhua during the graduation trip.

But it would cost each person at least 10,000 NTD, which is half of the monthly income of their family.

Not to be defeated by the difficulty, they decided to raise fund on their own, by selling notebooks online.

To reach their goal, they will have to sell 600 copies.

Fortunately, the idea is well-received by netizens, who scramble to order the book.

As a result 618 books have been sold to help the children to have a graduation trip as they have long hoped for.
