PAYING TRIBUTE WITH TATTOOS OF LEADERS
A young woman stole the show at a recent tattoo contest in Kaohsiung with her loyalty and passion for the leaders of our nation.
She has faces of numerous figures on her left arm, including Dr. Sun Yat-sen, former president Chiang Kai-shek, ex-president Lee Teng-hui, and President Ma Ying-jeou, saying that the bold gesture is her way of paying tribute to the history of Taiwan.
The young woman with a punk hairstyle is almost covered from head to foot with colorful tattoos.
What's even more special about her tattoos is the images of Taiwan's presidents tattooed on her left arm, with Dr. Sun Yat-sen, former president Chiang Kai-shek, and Chiang Ching-kuo on the front, and Lee Teng-hui and Chen Shui-bien on the other side.
Of course, she wouldn't miss the image of President Ma Ying-jeou.
These tattoos are so vivid that they all look like photos.
It turns out that her husband is an award-winning tattoo master, who tattooed almost all the images on her body.
She said that choosing to cover her arm with images of presidents is her unique way to remember the history.
Of course, the tattoos will surly continue as future presidents inaugurate in office, until there's no space on her body.
Even though her tattoos has made her looks weird to many people, she says that this is art and she's glad that she can show them to other people.
