CHEN YUN-LIN ENDS TAIWAN VISIT
China's top negotiator on Taiwan affairs, Chen Yun-lin, ended his six-day Taiwan trip yesterday morning. And on the previous day, Chen visited the Taipei Harbor, the Far Glory Air Cargo Park as well as the Neihu Industrial Park to explore possibilities of future cross-strait cooperation projects.
Accompanied by Delta Electronics chairman Bruce Cheng, Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait chairman Chen Yun-lin visited the lastest technology of electronic car.
As Delta Electronics has dedicated to green technology in recent years, Chen only chose to visit the company during his trip in Taipei since he has strong interests in the wind-powered electricity generator that the company is working on.
Chen hopes the technology can be the first item of the cross-strait collaboration project.
The Chinese official also visited the Neihu Technology Park, which houses 3,000 companies and creates an annual production value of 3 trillion NTD.
In the morning, Chen also checked out the port of Taipei and Farglory Free Trade Zone.
Chen said that there are many opportunities for cross-strait ports to work together, stressing that this business visit would allow companies to collaborate for future growth.
