Younger Chen Visits Former President
Former president Chen Shui-bian's son Chen Chih-chung visited his father at the Taipei prison for the first time. During their brief gathering, the ex-leader expresses his concern about his wife's health condition, hoping that the prosecutors will review her past medical records and consider the possible circumstances of putting her behind bars.
On the seventh day since Chen Shui-bian was transferred to Taipei prison in Taoyuan, former minister of health Twu Shin-tse accompanied Chen's son for a visit.
Chen worries the most about whether his wife Wu Shu-jen is physically capable of serving in jail.
According to Chen Chih-chung, his mother has accepted the fact of having to go to jail.
It's the first time that Chen's family member came to visit.
Chen Chih-chung also adds that, his mother wants to come but her physical conditions don't allow her to.
He adds he would bring his mother to the Taipei prison when she feels a bit better a few days later.
