With the official opening in just four days, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe went on a tour around the Flora Expo, upon receiving the invitation from the Taipei City Government. Even though many areas are still under construction, expo officials say that the event will be ready to go this Saturday.

On Tuesday, a delegation led by former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe toured the Taipei International Flora Exposition's park areas at the invitation of the Taipei City Government.

Taipei City Mayor Hau Lung-bin accompanied the delegates on their tour of the Xinsheng Park Area, including different exhibits and installations.

As part of its promotional campaign, the Taipei City Government has invited many foreign officials and guests to visit the Expo.

To spark interest domestically, the government also invited 50 couples to take their wedding portraits at the Yuanshan Park Area.

Although just four days remain until the Expo officially opens, many areas remain under construction and tools and tiles litter the ground.

In regards to problems that arose during the soft opening, Expo officials say that 298 directional signs have been put up and more than 2,000 seats have been added at different Expo sites.

Free shuttle buses will also be available to transport visitors from parking lots to exhibition areas.
