SPORTS STAR CHAO SAYS YES TO LEGISLATIVE RACE
Former baseball star, Chao Shi-chiang has said yes in joining the DPP for the legislative election, following retired basketball athlete Chien Wei-chuan's decision to run on behalf of the ruling KMT party.
While Chien will be battling for the seat in the Wugu and Lujhou districts of New Taipei City, Chao is hoping to secure the position as the legislator for Da-an District in Taipei. Chao added that he will be seeking benefits for the professional athletes, as well as helping to develop the sports industry in Taiwan.
