LOCAL SPECIALITIES OF LUNBEI
Do you know what Yunlin County's Lunbei is known for? Here on CTS, we are taking you to explore what the location has to offer, from fresh dairy products to flavorful bean curds.
The cakes on the shelves may be mouth-watering, but the hottest item in this shop is the cheese.
Another popular item in the shop is the diary cake roll with a creamy filling in the center of the spongy cake.
Lunbei Township is the first town in Taiwan to specialize in dairy farming, and their dairy products are fresh.
They obtain their freshly squeezed milk from the cows on the farm and directly deliver the milk to bakeries.
Many people come to Lunbei to partake in the fresh and mouth-watering dairy products.
Those who don't take any interests in sweets can also visit Lunbei for the bean curds made by the shop owner from scratch. The savory aroma from the bean curds emanate far beyond the doors of the shop.
Some of the bean curds are even flavored with carefully selected traditional Chinese herbs, sugar, and special sauce.
Visitors can get a taste of naturally flavored bean curds that contain no chemicals or preservatives.
As the addictive bean curds are handmade, the shop owner is only able to produce 120 bags of it each day.
In order to maintain the freshness of the bean curd, it is placed into vacuum packaging and into a freezer.
The bean curd here is not only a great snack with four flavors to choose from, but also makes a great ingredient in dishes.
