First Firework Stamps Issued
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of ROC, Chunghwa Post has for the first time issued a set of stamps featuring festive fireworks, which will include firework shows of Double Tenth Day, New Years Eve at Taipei 101 and the Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung. Stamp fans, don't miss out the precious collection, which will be sold at 25 post offices across the country on January 1st, 2011.
Magnificent fireworks shows are becoming the theme of stamps for the first time.
Chunghwa Post issues a set of stamps featuring festive fireworks, including the fireworks show in Taipei on Double Tenth day.
The value is 5 NTD.
Other themes include Taipei 101's annual new year's eve fireworks show, Kaohsiung's Lantern Festival fireworks show at Love River, and Taoyuan's fireworks display on Dragon Boat festival.
Each set includes four stamps and is valued at 60 NTD.
Besides the stamps, there's a specially designed stamp folder too, which is a collaboration with Central Engraving and Printing Plant.
The sample of this stamp shows different looks at different angles.
It's the first time that Taiwan issues fireworks stamps.
Hong Kong issued such stamps to celebrate a decade since returning to the motherland.
In Macau, it has also issued stamps featuring fireworks competition.
Taiwan's fireworks stamps to celebrate the country's 100th anniversary will be sold at 25 post offices across the country on January first.
