Kaohsiung's Liuhe Night Market is celebrating its victory after winning the online contest as the highest graded one on the island, leading the top spot in all six criteria.

In response to their triumph, the representative says that the night market will offer a variety of discounts to the public if it sweeps the number one

Sponsored by the Tourism Bureau to promote Taiwan's amazing delicacies, a competition on the Internet has been held, to dig out the best night market on the island.

We are seeing a growing number of visitors already just days after the announcement has been made, with Kaohsiung's Liuhe Night Market outranking the rest in all six categories, including having the best food, and service.

To show its appreciation, the spokesperson says that if the night market ends up winning the last portion of the challenge which will be revealed by next Wednesday, it will come up with a way to give back to its supporters.

Although the Liuhe market is leading the bunch, the online poll only holds 20 percent of the total points, while the remaining 80 percent is in the hands of food experts who have the power to change it all around.
