According to a recent survey released by the Tourism Bureau, vacationers say when they come to Taiwan, they must check out the night markets that dominate the nightlife of the island.

Excluding the expense for transportation and accomodations, Japanese tourists spend about $100 U.S. dollars on an average per day on the island, and the Chinese travelers contribute about $117 U.S. dolllars to our local economy.
Even though Chinese visitors are leading other nations as the largest spender, they did mention that the products in Taiwan are a bit too expensive, considering the fact that wages are lower in China. The Tourism Bureau does believe that an increase in salary in the Mainland in the future will directly bring a positive impact to the tourism industry here in Taiwan.
