A Debate for Chu And Tsai?
In politics,
The Xin Bei City Election Commission will be holding a forum on the 16th, allowing the city mayoral candidates to share their political views and policies with their voters. KMT's candidate Eric Chu has already agreed to participate, while DPP candidate Tsai Ing-wen says that she is still considering the proposal.
Xin Bei City mayoral candidate Eric Chu recently formed a Taipei County Taoist support group, while his opponent, Tsai Ing-wen, attended the 80th anniversary celebration of a temple performance troupe in Banciao.
The Xin Bei City Election Commission has announced that it will be holding a political forum at 9 a.m. on November 16th so that the two candidates can share their platforms and political views with voters.
Chu has committed to attending, and said that Tsai would be disrespecting the Election Commission if she fails to attend the forum.
Several days ago, Tsai accused Chu of using civic power to implement urban redevelopment plans and failing to protect the rights of residents.
In response, Chu said that it is the government's responsibility to draw up policies for the public to implement. Two weeks remain until voters head to the polls, and the election is heating up.
