Campaign Rallies in Xin Bei City
Both candidates of the Xin Bei City mayoral race held massive campaign rallies on Sunday to boost the morale of supporters and to elaborate on their policy proposals, trying to gain the decisive advantage at this election season's final stage.
Having less than a month till the Metropolitan Election, the candidates from both parties, Tsai Ingwen and Eric Chu, are also gathering speed in their campaign.
On the 7th, both parties held a massive campaign, Tsai at Hsinchuang Stadium, whereas Chu in Shulin.
At the Hsinchuang Stadium, the supporters were cramming up the place, some weren't even able to attend.
Frank Hsieh, the chairman for the DPP election campaign, criticized President Ma's inability to realize what he promised when he was elected while Ms Tsai presented her white paper for Xinbei City to show her determination in being the mayor for the area.
At the same time, Eric Chu is making his promise about completing the construction of the subway line of the three major rings and three major lines to converge Taipei City and Xinbei City in the near future.
President Ma also used the example of the opening of the latest Luzhou Line to support Chu's plan, saying that it will definitely boost Xinbei City's development.
Since the election so far seems to be neck-to-neck, what the result may be, only time will tell.
