Tv Debates for Candidates
Candidates of the Xinbei City mayor's race are busy on the campaign trail this week, trying to connect with grassroots voters. And both KMT's Eric Chu and DPP's Tsai Ing-wen said they look forward to the upcoming televised debate, hoping to better explain their policy plans to the public.
KMT's Xinbei city mayoral candidate Eric Chu visited several communities in Xinchuang city and was warmly welcomed by local supporters. He wants to garner as much support as possible. Commenting on the upcoming televised debate of five municipality elections, Chu hopes to take advantage of the chance to get his platforms across to voters.
His rival Tsai Ing-wen of the opposition DPP launches a bicycle team which delivers fliers door to door, as a friendlier way to express her visions.
All of the members in the bicycle team are college students, an arrangement that intends to highlight Tsai's dedication to build strong rapport with young people.
