A leopard may never change its spots, but it can be the inspiration for cool vehicles. Two college students in Yunlin recently won an award of 60,000 NT dollars by designing a race car that bears more than an outward resemblance of the agile creature.

This model is an award-winning sports car with dark stainless steel and the middle section is golden yellow colored.

Its streamlined shape is cool and has a combination of solar roof and door panels.

The four tires in particular highlight the three-dimensional design taking a cue from the leopard using its nose in the front and a tail in the rear.

The car also uses hydrogen as this sports car was deisgned by two college students who took inspiration from photos of leopards.

From concept design to completion of the model, it took a total of six months and cost 170,000 NT$ for the model including the tires which are based upon leopard claws. This model combines technology and the environment as this leopard style sports car,

won a silver award for domestic automotive design together with 60,000 NT$.

Still, when considering the cost of the model, the design group still has put in 110,000 NT$ of their own money. However, this creativity and the glory of winning the award is priceless.
