In the Kaohsiung mayoral race, recent interactions between PFP Chairman James Song and independent candidate Yang Chiu-hsing have left many suspecting a potential alliance between the two. But Song declined to confirm at this point whether he will throw his weight behind the ex-DPP politician.

There was a PFP city councilman election campaign activity in Kaohsiung city where its chairman James Sung, local political figure Lin Yuan Yuan , who is close to the PFP were present.

Greater Kaohsiung mayoral candidate, the former DPP member and current Kaohsiung County Magistrate Yang Chiu Hsing was also present.
