Ctsp Stage 3 Ruling
The Taipei high court ordered the halt of construction of the Third stage of Central Taiwan Science Park project, where the environmental protection administration and the National Science Council both pointed fingers towards the executing court.
The EPA said that the court revoked the already passed environmental impact assessment; the action would be a major disaster for the Republic of China. In addition, the National Science Council said it would be a no-win situation.
The Taipei execution high court ordered the halt of Central Taiwan science park third stage construction.
According to the Environmental Protection Administration, the notice would be sent out in 7 days after the order to notify the central Taiwan science park administration to stop the construction of the Chi shing area.
However, the EPA feels powerless and insisted that, whether to stop the construction should not be based on environmental protection regulations article 14.
If the court doesnt see the environmental impact assessment eye to eye with the EPA and thus revoke the report, it would be a major disaster for the Republic of China.
The National Science council was also ordered to halt the construction, for which it said that, it would look into the content and reasoning for the ruling while it pointed out that, the result is because of the court vetoed executive departments conclusion and created the no-win situation.
The third stage of the Central Taiwan science Park is the result of the public not agreeing with executing department thus turned to the court, resulting in the removal of the EIA report.
