Record High Temperatures
Taipei City's high temperature of 38.6 degrees Celcius has set a new record in Taiwan this summer.
Here on CTS, let's check out what we can expect this coming week.
Under the blazing sun, many parents take their kids to have water-splashing fun to cool off from the heat.
Others go out with an umbrella or use a paper bag to block direct sunlight.
According to the Central Weather Bureau, the increasing high pressure in the Pacific region and the southwest wind contribute to the high temperature in Taipei City, which was measured at 38.6 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature this summer.
The temperature recorded in Keelung and Dawu region in Taitung are also reaching as high as 38.1 degrees.
Although the weather until Monday will remain the same, interval storms in the afternnon are forecasted on Tuesday and Wednesday in north of Central Taiwan and northeast region.
Don't forget to pack an umbrella when you go out.
