The competition they won was the Imagine Cup hosted by Microsoft in Poland on July 9.

Two female students from the National Taipei University of Technology had incorporated a children-related theme. In thirty hours, they were able to create an imaginative, and instructive video short video that earned them first place in the Digital Creativity category.

The girls were still reveling from their surprise at winning world championship as they headed back to Taiwan.

A student from Jiaotung University also won first place for his intelligent battery meter.

His work was able to display the amount of energy different electronic appliances used.

Another student from Jiaotung University, whose project was able to utilize information technology to solve problems faced by the agricultural industry, won him first place in the Envisioning 2020 category.
