Itri Wins Research Awards
Here's another news that will make us proud.
The Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan has received three awards for its new inventions this year.
Let's take a look at the new creations that has helped in claiming its name in the world of technology.
Most metals will quickly turn red when heated up to 300 degrees.
But the ITRI has spent 10 years inventing the REDDEX eco friendly fireproof construction material.
Using a blow torch that is 300 degrees, the material is still in tact in your hand after 34 seconds of heating.
This incredible heat resistance is supposedly the world's best and won the global top 100 research award, which was announced on the 9th.
Not only did this fireproof material that can resist 1,000 degrees win an award, this technology to transfer 2D into 3D without wearing glasses also won.
Additionally, this foldable projector technology also won recognition due to the global popularity in e-books and iPad.
The ITRI won anther 3 awards this year, following its awards last year with its paper horn and explosion-proof lithium battery.
Seems like Taiwan's R&D has a strong place in the world.
