Student Volunteers
A group of high school and university students choose to spend their summer in a special way by working voluntarily at the Taitung Railway Art Village. Through helping decorating the gallery and guiding visitors, these young people have learned a true lesson that helping others is always the key to happiness.
These high school and university students are spending their summer volunteering at the Taitung Railway Art Village.
There is no air conditioning inside the old warehouse, but they are busy transforming the interior into an art gallery.
Some of the volunteers are here for a second consecutive summer, while others are fulfilling their service or internship credits.
The job may not require actual manual labor, but the students need to flex their creative muscles to decorate the venue and organize promotional materials.
The students are able to experience the spirit of sacrifice and contribution through the volunteer program, and the artists are deeply grateful for their hard work.
When they put on their uniforms, the students are ready to serve others.
They say that the program has helped them mature as individuals, and that the experience will stay with them for a lifetime.
