We just talked about how more and more students are choosing five-year junior high school programs instead of high school.Now here on CTS, a student is sharing his personal view on how he believes that hands-on training can provide him with skills that could be directly useful for his future career.Let's take a look at this in-depth coverage.

Liao Ching-Lin is a graduate of Silou Junior High and has a score of 402 on the Basic Competency Test which is a high score that would normally allow him to enter National Taichung First Senior High.

However, Liao has decided to pass up this opportunity to attend Taichung Industrial High School.

Liao is from a single-parent family and his mother is a new immigrant taking odd jobs as she is very happy whenever she sees her child studying.

Liao did not let his mother down by selecting Taichung Industrial High School as he believes he can learn a skill and also compete against others from well known high schools.

Also, he believes he has more of a chance in testing and entering a national technology university. Most importantly, he believes that he can slowly accumulate knowledge rather than undergoing pure memorization. Liao also said he usually comes home to watch TV, play games.

However, he divides his leisure time and his studying time.

Choosing IT is also his own choosing as in the future he hopes to study hard and enter a technology university.
