The result of this year's admission applications for National Taiwan University has been released, with around 1,300 of the applicants got admitted to the school, an acceptance rate of lower than 8%. Still the competition is tougher in the Schools of Medicine and the Department of Dentistry, reflected by the fact that the applicants who got accepted have all achieved full score in the college entrance exam.

A student of Taipei first girls high school was thrilled to find out that, with her score of 74, she was accepted into National Taiwan University in all of the departments she requested, namely, Finance, Business, Management and English.

She said that the secret is to know more than what the school teaches.

Besides students from public schools, private school students also performed well with a student surnamed Lai from Taichung Xiao Ming girls high gaining admission to NTU medical school for she has been volunteering at hospital and she wanted to help people in the future through medical services.

It is not easy to gain admission to NTU for only 1,367 people got in out of 17,117 who applied, which is less than 8%.

23 people got accepted into all 4 majors they have requested, which is 18 people more than last year.

All those who got in to the school of medicine are all with full scores of 75, which NTU has noticed that, more and more students are applying to school of dentistry and department of veterinarian.
