ENTITLED TO SHARE WANG'S ESTATE
It has been three years since Taiwanese tycoon Wang Yong-ching passed away, but the inheritance disputes seem to go on and on.
Based on the testimony and evidence including a tape recording, the court has recognized Wang as the father of the three individuals, with a surname of Lo.
They will each receive about 1 billion NT dollars, if the Wang family does not oppose to the ruling.
Three years ago, sisters and brothers from the Lo family claimed to be children of founder of Formosa Plastic Group Wang Yong-ching, in a press conference held after Wang passed away, requesting the reinstatement of the parental relationship.
Although the Wang family members refused to conduct a DNA match, the court believed there's no legitimate reason for them to turn down the request.
Besides, there are voice recordings of Wang's first daughter from the second wife, asking the Lo family to not attend the memorial service of Wang Yong-ching.
There are also letters from stepfather of the Lo brothers and sisters to Wang, urging the business tycoon to admit the parental relationship with the children.
It's likely that the Wang family already knew the existence of the Lo brothers and sisters.
Three years ago, Winston Wang was quite reserved in his comments.
Based on the recordings and evidences, the court established the parental relationship.
It's estimated that each of the three brothers and sisters would get 1 billion NTD of Wang's remaining estate.
But Winston Wang refused to comment, saying that his family would respect the court's judgment.
