The National Police Agency will be collaborating with schools in an attempt to put a stop to the recent increase of bullying cases on campus. In addition to having more officers patrolling the area, schools can also depend on the law enforcement to get involved when necessary in safeguarding the rights and well-being of students.

Since the start of the school year, there have been several cases of school bullying with the Minister of Education issuing harsh words saying that if a crime had occurred, the case would be sent directly to the police.

Although the main emphasis is on education, the law will supplement school authorities as only a few students engage in violence with bullying causing others to be hurt.

Wu believes that legal means are necessary, as students should know their responsibilities and also learn to respect others.

Wu said that in the past, schools needed to apply for a patrol box to be added, though now the National Police Administration has asked each precinct to take the initiative and add schools in their regular patrols.

And if schools request it, police will enter the campus.
