SENDING LOVE BACK HOME
The young ones from Japan have crossed the ocean to Taiwan after the devastating earthquake, and even though they are far from home, they are doing whatever they can to help. The nine individuals have raised 10,000 NT dollars in just one day, and said they will bring Taiwan's love with them when they return to their homeland.
Wearing wreaths and the celebratory clothing of their hometown, these nine children have crossed the ocean from Japan and are engaging in cultural exchange with Taiwan.
However, none of them are smiling and though they are still young and small, they know that Japan has suffered a great earthquake and tsunami as their country is now in trouble.
They have trouble laughing as they are from Yokohama, which is not the disaster area, though they felt the power of the earthquake, and were afraid of leaving Japan to visit Taiwan.
These children may be afraid to go abroad, though older brothers and sisters in Taiwan performed a dance for them, and played the ocarina to cheer up these Japanese children.
It was a familiar melody, and these Japanese children finally smiled and forgot about the earthquake.
They also felt the concern of Taiwanese people and the love of these children who donated their own money, 100 and 200 NT$ at a time, and eventually broke 10,000 NT$ in one day.
This cheered up these Japanese children as they will bring this love and compassion back to Japan.
