THE ART OF CHAIR DESIGN
An extraordinary exhibition on chairs is currently held in Taipei, featuring 100 artistic variations of the furniture item from designers around the world.
This red sofa styled in the shape of sexy, plump lips is called the Bocca.
It has also been nicknamed the Marilyn sofa to commemorate Hollywood sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe.
This other one, created by Finnish architect, Eero Aarnio, is called the "ball chair" due to its round contours.
This piece is often an essential accessory for vogue advertisements, often appearing in box office hits and currently the most sought after furniture piece in the corporate world.
The one-hundred classic chair exhibition, dubbed the most beautiful collection, is showcasing signature designs from 70 internationally renowned designers.
The design styles span across several generations from the 19th to the 20th centuries.
