NANGANG EXTENSION LINE OPENS SUNDAY
Taipei MRT's Nangang Exhibition Hall station, which connects the Bannan and Wenhu lines, will begin operation this Sunday. Commuters will be able to change trains without having to take shuttle buses, which is estimated to save an average of 10 minutes' traveling time for passengers.
The Taipei MRT's Nangang Exhibition Hall Station will become operational this Sunday.
Until now, commuters had to exit the station and take a huge detour to transfer from the Blue Line to the Brown Line or take a shuttle from Nangang Station.
The Brown Line will become a loop once the station is operational, which will benefit residents of Neihu and Donghu.
The connection of the two lines will also make commuting much more convenient for residents of Keelung and Shijr, who will no longer have to take shuttle buses from Nangang Exhibition Hall MRT Station.
According to Department of Rapid Transit Systems, the travel time between Nangang Exhibition Hall Station and Taipei Main Station will be around 20 minutes, compared to an hour before.
