More female researchers are being recognized this morning, with the National Central University's professor Ma Kuo-feng claiming the highest honor at the Fourth Out
World-known seismologist, professor Ma Kuo-feng, worked with seismologists from the U.S., Japan and Germany studied the Chelungpu Fault where the 921 earthquake happened and figured out the cycle of earthquakes.

She's happy to receive the award but what occupies her mind is still the recent earthquake happened in New Zealand.
Another two female scientists, Yu Pei-tsi and Ran Shao-wen, were also recognized as new talents for their remarkable research in nanomaterials and semiconductor.
For these female researchers who have to take care of their families and children at the same time, they need to work harder than others, as well as having their families' support, to achieve success in scientific fields.
