An engineer turned entrepreneur. A young lady has passed up on the fat checks, and instead, opened up her own "douhua", or also know as tofu pudding shop. Her business model has created online frenzy, while attracting many to try her self-made dessert.

Miss Chen Wei-ru used to work as engineer for United Microelectronics Corporation in Hsin-chu industrial area. To chase her dream of running a shop, she gave up an annual income of millions at the big company and came up with the idea of selling tofu pudding!

Chen has created her small eatery with a very relaxing and friendly environment, so that every guest could feel comfortable when eating tofu pudding, just like sitting in a coffee shop. Due to her sweet appearance, there are several talks about her on the Internet, especially among the Otakus.

Many companies in the Hsin-chu industrial area even ask her to deliver the order in person. Some engineers also check-in in her eatery every day, just to have a glimpse of her.

However, appearance is not everything what Chen can offer. The tofu pudding she sells is all self-made.

She has learned the know-how after many fails and researches. But that has helped her to discover the product she is now selling as number one on the menu.

When entering her shop, you will immediately notice the sweet decoration, which is very different than the traditional tofu pudding eatery. With her eagerness and willingness, Wei-ru has showed us that nothing is impossible.

Now, she has not only made her dream come true but is also the boss of her own.
