Taiwan's Skywalk
The Grand Canyon in the U.S. has its own skywalk, now here in Taiwan, we have our mini version. The Glass Technology Museum in Keelung, is offering a glass-bottomed sky trail, that is eight-meters long and three-stories high, just enough to make your legs wobble.
Taiwan's first skywalk is located at Keelung's Dawulun Industrial Park's Glass Technology Museum.
In the future, people won't have to go to the Grand Canyon in the U.S. to get this experience.
Trial operations for the skywalk end on December 20th and it will soon be open to the general public.
The museum covers a total of 330 pings and is divided into optical glass technology, construction technology and home science technology.
These are the 3 main exhbition areas though there is also an occasional glass public art exhibition hall featuring well-known glass artists in Taiwan.
There is also an "interactive multimedia information i-Table" which offers interactive multi-touch panel technology with optical glass doubling the visual effects.
In the future, brilliant works of architectural design will be on display as well as this skywalk.
Taiwan's first skywalk will only be 8 meters in length due to cost considerations.
The industry says that this is will be made possible because of DuPont SGP film special bonding technology, enabling people to get this unique experience without traveling to the Grand Canyon in the U.S.
