Hau, Su at Yongkang District
In the Taipei mayoral race, the KMT incumbent Hau Long-bin and DPP challenger Su Tseng-chang both made appearances at campaign events in the Yongkang commercial district on Sunday, promising their respective supporters to put the neighborhood on the international map if elected.
Filled with thick foreign flavors, Yongkang Street saw Taipei mayor candidate, Su Tseng-chang who was warmly welcomed by a big crowd who wanted his photo and his autograph.
He was stumping for votes and when he took to the stage, he promised to turn Yongkang Street into an international-class shopping district.
Also wanting to close the distance between supporters and feel their warm support, Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin took to the stage with many in the audience shouting their support and other encouragement.
A long queues of people awaited Mayor Hau as they stood in line to couple shake hands and chat.
The scene of this packed crowd indicated that the election was in its final countdown.
The race between these two candidates indicates quite a close race.
