Tungnan Police Station is set to become the most expensive branch in Taiwan.The office is currently in the heart of the city, next to an extremely high-priced residential building in Taipei, Yiping, where former Vice President Lien Chan lives.The price per ping, or per 36 square feet in that area is at a skyrocket value of 1.4 million NT dollars.Now, the city government is planning to reconstruct the site into a shopping mall or hotel, with the new station situated on this prime real estate.

This bulletin portrays the new plan that will bring Tungnan Police Station right into this location around the Ren Ai and Fuxing intersection,

which is considered to be one of the best spots in Taipei City.

Sitting right across from the five-star hotel, this will be the first privately built police station.

The neighborhood consists of business buildings, and luxurious residences of politicians and business tycoons, including former Vice President Lien Chan's home.

According to the property developer, the first three floors of the architecture will be the new police branch,

which is at around 648 pings, equivalent to about 23, 300 square feet.

The remaining floors, from the 4th to the 12th, will be allocated for business purposes.

Due to its happening locale, the land price has reached 6 million NT dollars per ping and the property price is now looking at $1.4 million NT dollars for one ping.

Law enforcement officers are completely thrilled about this project, and to move out of their 40-year old facility which was formerly a market.

In another four years, the policemen will no longer need to worry about the constant leakage of the ceiling and instead, off to enjoy working within the extravagant scenery.
