Open House for Freshmen
Guided tours of campus are offered this week by several universities in Taiwan to familiarize their potential freshmen with the environment. Many of this year's high school graduates are taking the chance to gather further information about different colleges before making their final decisions later this month.
Before 9am in the morning, the National ChengChi University is packed with students and parents who signed up for the open house service being guided by current student volunteers.
Many potential freshmen raised questions from class selection, dorm and local good eats.
Chen graduated from Tainan Girls high and visited the campus with her mother to understand more about her possible future campus.
Chen said that, though Chengchi University has a smaller campus when compared to ChengKong University, she would still consider enrolling in the school of business.
It is the first time the Chengchi University is holding such event for new students, which proven to be a success on the first day.
The schools hope to interact with students to let them understand the school better before making their decisions.
