KINGS OF LEON ROCKED OUT?
Frontman Caleb Followill was said to be rambling and slurring on stage during their show in Dallas last Friday. The singer told the crowd that although he feels "100 percent gone, he was going to leave the stage, vomit, drink a beer and return to play three more songs." But Caleb Followill never made it back to the stage, and the concert was forced to cut short. In response to this incident, the band's spokesman said, that Caleb Followill was "suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break."
Brother and bassist Jared Followill tweeted online right after the performance, "Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sickness & problems that have needed to be addressed. No words."
The band has since made a decision to scrap the U.S. tour entirely, due to the groups' touring commitments abroad, and disappointing fans will be able to get their refunds.
The Tennessee formed band, first rose to stardom in the U.K, and their fan base grew significantly in the U.S after the release of their third studio album, "Only by the Night". The singles from the same album,
"Sex on Fire", "Use Somebody", and "Notion" gave them three number ones on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart, becoming their first ever Platinum-selling album in the United States.
"Sex on Fire" also won the band a Grammy Award. While many are starting to doubt the future of the blood-related rockers, consisted of three brothers and their cousin, Nathan Followill is reassuring music lovers, by writing on his tweeter, saying that they "ARE NOT BREAKING UP!"
