ROCKING FOR 5 DAYS AND 5 NIGHTS
Rock fans, the fun is over. The 12th annual Hohaiyan Rock Festival has come to an end, wrapping up the five-day music party at the Fulong Beach of the Gongliao Township.
Here on CTS, let's find out what went down in that corner of town, and how the bands attracted more than 770,000 music lovers to the spot, including our own weather girl's group, Slimo.Who can say no to nights of live performances on the beach, for free.
Taiwanese Hip-Hop group MC Hot Dog kicked off the music festival with what people want: some great visuals, and some catchy beats.
Known for their attitude, Go Chic, pleased the audience, by blasting out electro dance songs, kicking the event into full on party mode.
Hakka hip-hop group, Kou Chou Ching, rapped their way to northern Taiwan, bringing one message to the crowd. Be proud to be Taiwanese.
Adding some traditional flair to their performance, the 1997 formed band, The Chairman, also joined the first day of the event, along with the award-winning band, Luantan Ascent who took over the stage.
More than 100 local and overseas bands were able showcase their talents at this year's rock gala, with 10 groups battling to win the Indie Music Competition.
Yes, she might look familiar, because Chuang Yu-Chieh is our own weather anchor, and instead of warning you about the rain lately, she is out there rocking the stage with her band, Slimo.
Aboriginal group, Sun Eagles walked away with the top award, but winners or not, it's a platform for musicians to share their passion for music, and no doubt it's an astounding event in which people will be talking about for quite some time.
