The Shenyang Imperial Palace, which is deemed as one of the World Heritage sites by the UNESCO, has recently collaborated with Taiwan's National Museum of History in organizing a joint exhibition on artifacts of the Ching Dynasty. Precious artifacts such as Imperial Sword of Nurhaci and Huang Taiji's antler chair will also be showcased for the first time ever.

With gloves covering their hands and moving about with extra caution, the director of the National Museum of History and the dean of the Shenyang Palace Museum together hold up a sword used by Nurhaci of the Qing Dynasty.

Nurhaci's sword is a weapon passed down through over five centuries and is a rare item in modern civilization.

The body of the sword is wrought out of steel while its handle is made of hypericum.

This same sword was lent by the Shenyang Palace Museum to Taiwan's National Museum of History for exhibition.

Another item is Huang Taiji's antler chair, which is also a rare gem from the Qing Dynasty with a 380-year history.

Prior to the entry and establishment of the Qing Dynasty, the capital was moved to Shenyang and the Imperial city was constructed along with the Shenyang Imperial Palace.

In 2004, the UNESCO enlisted the Shenyang Palace as a World Heritage site.

124 items have been taken from the 20,000 plus treasure collection from the museum.

Another rare treasure is Shunzhi Emperor's bull arch, a tri-color dragon plate from Emperor Kangxi's time period, and an armor suit worn by Emperor Qianlong.

From these historical artifacts, visitors get to witness the last authoritarian regime of China's history and what historical scholars deem as the makings of the most prosperous period of the Qing Dynasty.
