TROPICAL STORM EMILY WEAKENING
Tropical Storm Emily in Haiti has since weakened and could be downgraded, according to the National Hurricane Center, which issued warning of flash floods and mudslides earlier. The storm is moving west-northwest, and it has been bringing rains to the island of Hispaniola shared by Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Around 12-thousand United Nations troops and police are on standby, to prepare for the worst. Evacuation sites have already been established, for emergency situations, along with food and supplies.
