UNETHICAL BECAUSE OF LACK OF SLEEP?
Researchers in a sleep lab have found that lack of sleep not only leads to poor work performance, but it also increases deviant and unethical behaviors, such as being rude to others, as well as having the tendency to make inappropriate responses and to take more from people or work. And Why is that?
It turns out that insufficient sleep lowers the functionality of our brain, especially in the part that controls our executive functions, therefore, it directly affects our emotion and behavior. Through the experiment, they found that tired workers tend to behave rudely to customers. Researchers have therefore advised that employers should recognize the negative effect of sleep deprivation on their employees.
Instead of pulling all-nighters at work just to be recognized by your boss, you need to make sure you get sufficient sleep to prevent inappropriate manners and behaviors the next day
