FACE-TO-FACE WITH MOVIE DIRECTORS
The two renowned directors Wu Nien-jen and Ke Yi Zheng have just attended a university conference in Kaohsiung, in discussing their vision in movie-making. In sharing with students their passion for the industry, they also revealed the plot and the shooting location of the film in progress, which will begin later this year in southern Taiwan.
Directors Wu Nien-jen and Ke Yi Zheng received an enthusiastic welcome from students in Kaohsiung.
Speaking to a packed conference hall, Wu and Ke shared their experiences and discussed their visions for the film industry.
They also urged students to err on the side of practicality when pursuing their dreams.
While the domestic film industry is based in northern Taiwan, Wu said that southern Taiwan has many advantages, including excellent weather and friendly people.
As the vast majority of post-production work is conducted in the north, there is room for growth.
The two directors also shared that their upcoming film on female laborers, which will begin shooting in southern Taiwan later this year.
