Many people are already planning their days off, with the Chinese winter vacation approaching.

In the hope to expand the railway tourism during the holidays, Taiwan Railways Administration has come up with a special touring pass,

which will allow passengers to travel across the island within the ticket's validity.

For the coming winter vacation, railway fans are ready to take their trips on trains, along with their cameras and the train schedule. Many railway fans have planned ahead, in order to fully explore the sites along the railways.

To serve people who love to travel by trains, Taiwan Railways Administration has also provided different tickets, from a 5-day ticket or 7-day ticket for students, to 3-day ticket for ordinary adults.

The tickets are a little more expensive than ordinary train tickets but tourists can travel around the island as much as they want within the ticket's validity.

This year, Taiwan Railways Administration takes the active approach in the hope to attract more people to tour the island by trains.

The administration expects that the three sub-lines including Ping-shi, Nei-wan and Ji-ji will attract a huge crowd of tourists.

Even though the improvement project of the railways of Nei-wan and Ji-ji lines are not finished yet, many railway fans still want to visit the areas.

The railway fans also suggest the administration to integrate local tourism resources around the nearby areas.

With Taiwan Railways Administration taking a share of the tourism pie during the winter, students, railway fans and the public now have more options in touring the island.
