Breakfasts Provided to 900 Children
The Xiu Chun Educational Foundation has recently donated 10 million NT dollars, which will provide breakfasts to about 900 children in the first year. And after hearing this news, a local eatery is joining in on the effort, by offering cheaper deals to give the little ones a happy meal.
The children patiently wait to receive their breakfasts. Many low-income families can't afford three meals a day, but having well-fed children is no longer an unreachable dream.
The Xiu Chun Educational Foundation recently donated 10 million NT to a fund that provides breakfasts for disadvantaged children.
The fund distributes breakfast subsidies of 20 NT per person, and an estimated 900 children from low-income families in Yilan County will benefit from the program in the first year.
One breakfast eatery is pitching in, and providing children with two steamed buns and one cup of soymilk for a price of 20 NT.
Everyone involved in the program hopes that these children can have happy, healthy childhoods.
