Praying for Better Luck
Taiwanese pitcher for the Washington Nationals Wang Chien-ming returned to Taiwan last week for the off-season, after taking the entire Major League Baseball season off to recover.
He visited the Shanhsi Temple in his hometown of Tainan, as many fans waited with their cameras at the temple early in the morning, to get a glimpse of the baseball star.
After returning to Taiwan for his off season, Wang Chien-ming was in casual clothes to pray at Shanhsi Temple near his old home in Tainan.
Fans and local residents already knew of the star's schedule and rushed to the temple to get a glimpse of Wang.
Everyone rushed when Wang arrived at the temple.
Wang wasn't accompanied by his agent or bodyguard this time, and fans could get close to Wang to take their picture.
Wang wasn't able to play at all last season due to shoulder injury.
Now that he's back in Taiwan, Wang can get some well deserved rest.
Everyone is curious how his rehab is going.
Temple officials said that Wang's health is good this time and he especially prayed to the God of War, hoping he can return to pitching by spring training next year.
Fans are now most concerned if Wang will be able to resign with the Nationals by December, because he was released from the Yankees due to his shoulder injury.
