Kuo Returns to Taiwan
After a record-breaking season with the L.A. Dodgers, MLB pitcher Kuo Hong-chih returned to Taiwan on Thursday morning. The all-star reliever has been scheduled to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Intercontinental Cup opening game this weekend.
Taiwanese baseball player in the Major League Baseball Kuo Hong-chih came back from Los Angeles and arrived Taiwan at 6 o'clock in the morning.
When asked to comment on his performance in the past season, he admitted that he was happy, hoping to keep the streak going.
Commenting on the salary negotiation, he says his agent will take care of it.
Kuo is to be the guest of honor to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on the opening game of the Intercontinental Cup, which opens this Saturday.
The 29-year-old has had an out
Among his 56 appearances, he went 3 - 2, getting 12 saves. His ERA was a paltry 1.20.
That ERA was a franchise record for the Dodgers.
In fact, Kuo had a humble start back in 2000 when he began his first professional career at a minor league.
But soon after his first game, he had injury and went through two surgeries in four years.
In 2005, he came back to the baseball field and has since been a rising star in the Major League.
