Department stores everywhere are holding their anniversary sales, and many shopaholics are not going to miss this great consumer opportunity.
Although many people realize the importance of remaining rational when shopping, a study conducted by the Financial Literacy and Education Association has found that 30% of 20-40 year olds will succumb to impulsive buying habits when faced with enticing discounts or temptations.
Many people don't have easy access to knowledge on smart spending and saving.
But in fact, parents, with sufficient and accurate financial knowledge, can have a profound impact on their childrens' spending habits.
Studies have also found that the more parents keep track of their finances and save money, the more positive effects it will have on their children.
The NTU Dean of Student Affairs, Feng Yan, is calling for all parents pay more attention to their childrens' financial awareness and education.
