Green buildings come in different styles and designs. And for one Japanese architect, the idea of sustainable construction is best expressed through the use of materials such as stones, wood, and plants that give the buildings a quality of being at one with nature.

The tea house is only supported by three logs and as if any minutes, characters from storybooks would appear out of it.

Fujimori believes that buildings would ruin nature; therefore he favors rocks and other natural building materials for his projects.

Ever since the 90s, Fujimori has won several international awards. The dormitory at Kumamoto University in Japan won Fujimori top honor in Japan. Besides his own favorite project of using burnt logs for a house that resembles a cave, he has completed his first two projects in Taiwan as of this May in HsinChus E-Mei.

Fujimori describe his style as wild and avant-garde as he believes the most avant-garde buildings are the ones that blend in with nature.
