True Love Conquers All
While many people are forced to change their weekend plans because of the typhoon, a couple in Taitung insisted on holding their wedding on Sunday as originally scheduled, proving that nothing, including typhoons, can ever stand in the way of true love.
On the eve of her wedding, Ms. Lee is busy preparing cookie boxes for her guests. On Sunday, she will be marrying her boyfriend of three years.
Despite weather reports that Typhoon Fanapi will be hitting the island on Sunday, the couple has decided to stick with their original wedding plans.
They say that invitations have been sent and friends and family have made the trip to Taitung, and it would be impossible to change the wedding date.
Lee has arranged an arrival rehearsal with the hotel, and hotel workers will greet her with eight large umbrellas if it is raining when she arrives at the hotel on Sunday.
She is now praying that the typhoon won't ruin her dreams of a beautiful wedding.
