Bargain Hunting at Tcas
Fierce competition among IT manufacturers and retailers has started this Thursday at the Taipei Computer Application Show. It not only showcases the latest technology, but also offers finest deals and promotions for many IT products of digital imaging, consumer electronics, gaming and more.
Skimpily-clad foreign show girls were among the many attractions at the Taipei Computer Applications Show, which opened on Thursday.
Many, however, were drawn to the show for the wide array of discounts and bargains.
One vendor was offering notebook computers at a 31% discount to consumers wearing purple.
Shoppers dressed in purple were able to take the computers, which had an original price tag of 32,900 NT, home for just 22,900 NT.
This notebook computer, which was manufactured in Japan, retails for 36,800 NT but was available for just 25,800 NT.
One of the exhibition's most popular areas was the camera zone, where 10-megapixel cameras that normally sell for 10,900 NT could be found for just 8,500 NT.
On the last day of the show, vendors were hoping to make a killing and consumers were hoping to find great bargains.
