Magic with Bare Hands
When you think of magic, Liu Chien, a highly regarded magician here in Taiwan, may be the first to come in mind.
Now, more and more young talents are rising to the spotlight.
Here on CTS, let's check out the up-and-coming illusionists here on the island.
A rooster appears on the white projection screen, followed by a bunny rabbit and a wild wolf. The rabbit tries to run away from the wolf, but is caught and devoured.
The performer then shows off an array of bird shadows, including sparrows and eagles.
Every single animal is surprisingly lifelike, and even King Kong makes an appearance.
The hand shadows are the creation of magician Chang Cheng-lung, who has made a name for himself as a performer and illusionist.
23-year old Kuo Po-cheng, meanwhile, is well-known for his disappearing disc trick.
Kuo is already one of Taiwan's top magicians, and says that he welcomes challenges from other magicians.
