A biotech trade show is set to open next week in Taipei, showcasing the latest developments in Taiwan's biotechnology industry. Here on CTS news, lets take a sneak preview of this year's extraordinary new products.

In the past, skin cancer treatment medication would most likely leave scars on skin, until now, a biotech team has developed a new medication, cuopled with freezing treatment to clean out all cancer cells without scars.

The second stage of test on human was completed at the end of last year, the third stage is to take place soon.

It has gotten patents from 32 countries already.

On similar note, a government invested medication technology center recently extracted something from Chinese herbal medicine to treat depression.

It is in the animal testing stage and should be an alternative anti-depression medication in the future.

Those and other results of biotechnology research will be presented on July 22nd at the 2010 Bio Taiwan exhibition, offering more choices for disease treatment as well as cosmetology technologies.

The market is over NT$50.billion with local related business operators eyeing the Chinese market, which is 50 times bigger than the local market.

It is hoped that Taiwan technology can be protected by interlectual property protection law to attract international biotech factories to team up and target the Chinese market.
