Photos on Canvas
A bird photography exhibition will be on display this July, portraying the internationally praised works of two Taiwanese photographers.
The brother and sister team, focuses on capturing the beauty of the different species of birds in Taiwan on photographs, and they have also found a successful way of transferring their pictures on canvas for a
mind-blowing effect.
The Taiwanese Blue Magpie, flaps its wings and come directly straight at us.
The photographer captures this moment and the birds colorful wings with his camera.
The contrast of shade and sun is captured in this photo of 4 egrets feeding from their mother.
If you don't look carefully, you would think this was an oil painting.
These photos are works by John & Fish, a brother and sister team.
John, an engineer, and Fish, an office worker, spend their time chasing birds on the weekend.
The pair shoot all over, even though they have never received any training.
They finally exhibited their work in June in New York of all the pictures they have taken in the last five years.
This picture of two seagulls frolicking in Yilan's Da Hsi Harbor surprised many international photographers.
Not only was the lighting excellent, it even captured the droplets of water.
They will exhibit in Taiwan in July and the most impressive thing is that they have transferred the photos onto the canvass for the exhibition.
After researching for the past 6 months, they were finally successful in doing this.
Both of them specialize in photographing birds, but they don't subject themselves to just special birds.
The photos on canvass seems as if they were painted.
Bird photos now aren't just for environmental subjects, but have also become art objects.
